KEN ROBINSON

Professional Activities
Travelled extensively through Europe including Scandinavia, Russia and East European Countries.
 
Emigrated from U.K. to Canada.  Worked in Toronto and Montreal in Commercial Art Studios, Interior Design and Display Studios.
 
Asked to attend and speak at Art and Design seminars at Sir George William University, Montreal. 1969.
Travelled extensively throughout United States and Mexico.
1985-86 Elected Secretary New Zealand Society of Sculptors and Painters and Associates.
1988 Elected President of New Zealand Society of Sculptors, Painters and Associates.
1991- Nominated and accepted for inclusion in the “N.Z. Who's Who”  for services to Art.
[also included in “The Australasian Who's Who of Art”]
1994 Included as an Artist in the “Allgelemeines Kunstelerextion Art Dictionary” published out of Leipzig, Germany.
1994 Received A.I.T. Arts faculty grant to exhibit in New York, U.S.A.
1995 - Included in book on ‘100 New Zealand Painters’  by Warwick Brown.
1997 - Invited to submit work for selection in “Marquis Who's Who in America” and was accepted.
1998 - Invited to be included in “Dictionary of International Biography”, Cambridge England
2001 - Received A.U.T. Arts faculty grant to exhibit in 5th Sharjah International Arts Biennial

    All Public Exhibitions of my work have been reviewed by art critics and are catalogued.

    Have organized schemes in which students from the Design Dept. together with unemployed, design and execute Public Murals. 

    These include large murals at the A.I.T. and Paremoremo Prison.

    Curated an exhibition of paintings and drawings by artist Warren Wilson for a posthumous show.

    Organized exhibitions of work by the Tutors of the School of Art  and design 1993, 1994, 1995 .1996.            

    Have been studying the Spanish language as well as classical and flamenco Guitar.
